The design idea was to remodel the existing residential building from the 1950s and to create an extension as well as a staggered floor to create the living space for the builders, who would also move into the apartment building. The existing 4 apartments were to be scaled down. Through the planned extensions an additional living space for two generations of family members should be created. The concept was to demolish the existing saddle roof construction and to create a new stacked floor in combination with the expansion extension.

The plan would change not only the character of the old building itself but also its context in an environment of surrounding villas. The building sequence of the street should be supplemented by another striking building.

    Project planning time: 04.2017 – 08.2017

    Living space: ca. 550 m²

    BGF: ca. 670 m²
    Construction cost: ca. 830,000 €
